Jack T. Chick and his staff are famous for conservative Evangelical Christianity in cartoon form. Chick believes the world full of hostile people led by Deamons. I respect & love the Mormon people; I disagree with Mormon theologly. Yes some early Mormon leaders were highly critical of those who were against them.
I really appreciated this comic. I have the hard copy. It tells a long story and has a LOT of facts to disseminate, which could be hard to read or even picture. I mean, people that are as outrageous as Joseph Smith can be hard to fathom. The story is much more easily digested in comic book form. I have loaned this to someone who recently joined LDS (although I think really just because of a love interest), and I was so glad I had it to loan. People really should know this stuff and it's kind of frightening how few people do -- whether they are Mormons or not!
This magazine clearly used a number of half-truths to slam a religion that the creators obviously know nothing about, I would not recommend this or any other book in this series to anyone.
It is a hard pill to swallow when you're use to drinking the many fallacies of sludge that coat the many wants and desires of the flesh in a religion, which tickles your fancy! Continue drinking the sludge, the pill is too much for most, continue following blinded, question nothing! It's just your soul and eternal damnation if you ignore!
This comic covers the life and career of Joseph Smith, the Mormon prophet. It takes a very negative approach to his life, but as far as I can tell, the facts are correct. A Mormon would have put a different spin on them, but Chick is an Evangelical Christian and very down on Mormonism.
This comic does a good job at showing the occult origin of the lds church. How joseph Smith with the help of a couple well placed Jesuits deceived millions of souls for Satan.
Fun and educational to read... then, listen to, or watch, or read, Hell's Best Kept Secret online... simple search to find.
