There are two books in this one, first up is Cole.Cole is the son of a famous rock star, but for the most part he doesn't act like a spoiled brat for it. He did unfortunately inherit his dad's penchant for womanizing. Cole lives with his best friends, Denver and Rodeo. They all ride the BMX circuit on the weekends. On one of his not so stellar moments days Cole makes a wager with Rodeo that he can get the seemingly uptight heiress next door to date him and get a kiss. Only he discovers real quick that Kensie is not at all who he pictured and he wants her for real.
But just like most really dumb ideas, his comes to light and causes her to run from him.
They only thing that I really didn't like with this story was the abrupt way it ended. I suppose there are at least two more books to come, Denver and Rodeo's, but a little softer ending would have been nice.
Now, the other book, Strangely Normal.
This is the introduction to Cole, his sister Finley, his brother Jude, and Jude's girl and Finley's best friend, Eden.
I liked this peek into how their family was. It wasn't much Cole, but it showed the issues Fin has. And you find out how Eden and Jude ended up together. Again, it ended a little abruptly. I think a little more happily ever after in Jude and Eden's story would of been nice especially since they aren't big characters in the rest of the books.

Really enjoyed this book. Loved Jude and Eden. Finley was really interesting. To be only 18 and alone Eden deserved someone as cool as Jude. The progress Eden made with Finley was great. Best friend in almost 2 days. Eden's love for Jude was also fast. She was good for him. ready to read Rodeo and Denver. but think I have to go o Rhett , clutch, and nix's series first. Whatever I will read them all.
I loved Cole and Kensie's characters, but just as they got together the story ended to quickly for me. Cole was such a sweetheart and generous guy any lady would love him. Loved the FMX brought into the story and thought Denver and Rodeo were two wild and crazy guys. Just thought story ended to quick, but I love this author's work.
...which is quite refreshing for a New Adult novel. Nothing too heavy or intense, and that's not a bad thing; we don't always want to read something that tears us up, we just want fun, interesting characters to follow through the pages and Tess Oliver gives us that. It's a series book but has a true ending - no cliffhanger (thank you!) but engaging secondary characters you want to read about in their own books. I liked it ☺
Filthy language makes this story a 3 star. I skipped through some of it just to get through it faster. I did not read the bonus story as I can't stand reading out of order. There was a ton of sex and no cliffhanger. The storyline was great though and well written otherwise.
This is my first time reading Tess Oliver.... Ok I'm hooked!
What an awesome bunch of friends in this book, couldn't stop laughing at the way they rib each other.
Especially liked the duct tape part... 😆
Cole & Kensie are great together. Just wish I knew their ages, am guessing mid 20's.
Am now continuing on with Strangely Normal & the rest of the crews stories.
Very much looking forward to the next FMX books 😊
I chose this rating because the storyline had depth and enough emotion to keep me riveted to the point that I couldn't put it down. I HAD to read the next chapter to feed the suspense of seeing what would come next then another and another until I came to the last chapter then the end. I was so excited to see how it ended but once at the final sentence I realized the story was over. Tests Oliver is an amazing storyteller that her characters come to life as 3 dimensional actors. The love and drama between Cole and Kensington is as sweet as it is heart warming. I suggest this book to everyone that enjoys a story that can make you laugh, cry, and feel the angst between two star crossed lovers on their journey to each other's arms.
This book tells the story of the beginning of a romance. There is no marriage at the end of it. However, it's also not the first book in the series and I hadn't read the previous books. This series will play out like a soap opera.
Included in this edition is one of the earlier books which led me to the soap opera analogy. In the second book it starts the romance of the brother whose married in the first book of this edition. Now I have to read the in between novels.
